Smartphone company Xiaomi on Friday announced through its Twitter account that it is ready to launch Redmi 9A in India on 2 September. This smartphone will be the third model in the Redmi 9 series in the country. However, India-specific details of the Redmi 9A have not yet been revealed. The phone made its debut in Malaysia in late June. It comes with a waterdrop-style display notch and has a single rear camera.

Details shared on Redmi India's Twitter account Redmi 9A will launch on September 2 at 12 noon. A dedicated microsite has been created on the company's Mi.com site, with a sale date of 4 September. Some highlights are also given on the microsite.



 Redmi 9A Price

Its price in India is yet to be revealed. Nevertheless, this may correspond to the declared price in Malaysia. There, this phone has been sold in 2GB RAM + 32GB storage variant at a price of MYR 359 (about Rs 6,400). However, Redmi 9A can be launched in the Indian market in 4GB + 64GB and 4GB + 128GB options. According to the report, this phone will come in Nature Green, Sea Blue and Midnight Black color options.

Specifications of Redmi 9A

This dual-sim phone runs on Android 10 based on MIUI 11 and has a 6.53-inch HD + (720x, 1,600 pixels) dot drop display with a 20: 9 aspect ratio. The phone runs on the Octa-core MediaTek Helio G25 SoC, which has up to 3GB of RAM. However, its Indian version can be of 4GB RAM.

It has a single, 13-megapixel rear camera sensor with f / 2.2 lens. The front also has a 5-megapixel selfie camera sensor with f / 2.2 lens. The phone has a 5,000mAh battery with 10W fast charging support and comes with a micro-USB port. Apart from this, it has 32GB of internal storage, although its Indian variant can come with built-in storage up to 128GB.

Realme C11 will compete

Redmi 9A will compete with Realme's C11 smartphone. The Reality C11 smartphone has a 6.5-inch HD Plus resolution display. The smartphone comes with MediaTek Helio G35 chipset. This smartphone with 2GB RAM and 32GB storage is being sold for Rs 7,499. Also, the latest Android 10 is available in it. A 13-megapixel camera is provided on the rear panel of the smartphone, while a 5-megapixel camera is available for taking selfies. To give power to the smartphone, a 5000mAh battery is provided.
